Dartmoor Road/Apley Road

E Grade started at 'frenetic' pace along Dartmoor Road, which got them within 30 seconds of the D Grade chasers (before their turn-around at the bridge).
The breakaway of Lindsay Sheppard, David McCallum, Patrick Roe, Paul van Kampen and daughter Hannah developed on the second hill on Apley Road. Lindsay, after struggling to stay on for a time, took line honours in a close sprint with Paul.
Hannah would be the most improved rider in the grade.
